The Travelling Can

I’ve always thought that receiving something, anything, from a friend, a relative or even a complete stranger, creates a feeling of gratitude that can only be understood by giving back. We are surrounded by wonderful people – in our homes, our jobs, on the train, in the grocery store – everywhere you look you discover kind, generous, warm, funny people. Wouldn’t it be great if we could share something, even if it’s just a story, with each of these individuals? Wouldn’t that help bring us closer together as a comunity, a country, and maybe even a global society?

The Travelling Can was born to unite people through their stories. “Travelling” is an exciting word; it makes us think about setting out on adventure, meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. The Travelling Can represents a unique kind of adventure. It's not just a tin can with a gift inside, it's a way of bringing people together to share something about themselves. The Travelling Can is for people who enjoy life and are committed to finding happiness and bringing joy to others.

The Can is just the vehicle – the intention goes inside.  If you are the temporary keeper of a Travelling Can, decide who should receive it next. Then, put something inside – maybe a small gift, maybe a large gift – but, be sure to include something of yourself.
